Christopher C. Palermo is Moderator for WCBA CLE Program on New State-of-the-Art Technology in Westchester’s Commercial Division Court
Bleakley Platt partner Christopher C. Palermo is the moderator of a Westchester County Bar Association Continuing Legal Education program discussing the new state-of-the-art courtroom that is now up and running in Westchester County Supreme Court’s Commercial Division. The free program, entitled “Integrated Courtroom Technology: Evidence Presentation and Video Conferencing in the Courts,” will be held on January 18, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in Courtroom 105 of the Westchester County Supreme Court, 111 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. in White Plains. Speakers at the program will include Westchester’s two Commercial Division Justices, Hon. Linda S. Jamieson and Hon. Gretchen M. Walsh, and the program will include a demonstration of the new courtroom technology.
A partner in the firm’s Litigation practice group, Mr. Palermo was appointed by Chief Judge of the State of New York Jonathan Lippman in 2013 to serve on the Commercial Division Advisory Council, which is charged with advising the Chief Judge on an ongoing basis about all matters concerning the Commercial Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, the branch of the New York court system that handles complex business disputes. Mr. Palermo was also Secretary to the Commercial Courts Task Force, established by Chief Judge Judith S. Kaye in 1995 to create and refine the Commercial Division, the nation’s first general trial court devoted exclusively to business litigation.
