Bleakley Platt & Schmidt, LLP was founded in 1937 and proudly celebrates over 85 years as the preeminent law firm in White Plains, Westchester County and the Hudson Valley. We are a firm of legal professionals with decades of experience, dedicated to serving our clients and our community through proficiency, public service and charitable works.
For more than 85 years, Bleakley Platt has been proud to include among its ranks a number of highly regarded former judges in state and federal courts, attorneys who previously served as law clerks in federal and state courts, and still others who held positions with the United States Department of Justice, the office of the New York State Attorney General, the offices of the District Attorney New York and Rockland Counties, various municipal corporation counsel offices, and both local and federal Special Prosecutor offices.
Bleakley Platt also has a long tradition of public service. Our attorneys and staff take the lead in helping many charitable organizations, serving on private and public school boards, nonprofit boards, fundraising, hands-on volunteering and providing pro bono legal work in the communities where we live and work. We support nonprofits that provide basic human services, advance education for disadvantaged children and provide medical help for seriously ill children, among others.
Bleakley Platt attorneys also serve our colleagues in the legal profession through leadership in local and state bar associations and as members of the faculty of several local law schools. We are also on the forefront of Westchester County’s emerging growth, actively engaging with associations focused on the growth of technology and business generally.
