We represent corporate owners, developers, private investors, landlords, tenants, banks and other financial institutions, pension funds, governmental agencies, and individuals. We handle all aspects of property acquisition, planning and development, financing, management and disposition, construction contracts, architect’s agreements, brokerage arrangements, ground leases and title matters.
Our real estate services involve most types of real property such as office buildings, industrial facilities, hospitals and other health care facilities, hotels, retail and mixed-use complexes, multi-family housing, cooperatives, condominiums and vacant land. Bleakley Platt has an active commercial leasing practice. We represent both landlords and tenants in all types of projects, including office buildings, shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, health care facilities and industrial facilities.
We advise regularly on the formation and operation of cooperative and condominium projects on behalf of sponsors, lenders, cooperative corporations and tenants’ committees.
Because of the Firm’s size and breadth of practice, our Group is able to enhance its capabilities by working closely with members of other Practice Groups as necessary to efficiently and comprehensively assist clients in achieving their objectives. We work closely with our Litigation Practice Group attorneys when enforcing the rights of lenders, borrowers, landlords, tenants, title companies, municipalities and developers in matters involving real property. As circumstances warrant, we also work with attorneys in our Tax, Environmental, Valuation, Condemnation and Tax Certiorari and Commercial Finance Practice Groups.
Bleakley Platt is committed to our clients’ success and believes that in some instances, an alternative fee arrangement may be preferable to a traditional hourly fee structure. Such arrangements require approval by the Firm’s management. To learn more about the Firm’s policy regarding alternative fee arrangements, click here or speak with a partner.
