Robert Braumuller and Zachary Cohen Speak at New York Medical College
On April 28, Robert Braumuller and Zachary Cohen gave a presentation at New York Medical College before a group of more than 100 graduating medical students on the challenges that will face them as they enter their residency programs.
The one-hour presentation on Healthcare Law Fundamentals provided the students, who will begin residency programs after graduation, with a basic understanding of healthcare compliance law, including information about fraud and abuse laws, negotiating employment contracts and medical malpractice.
New York Medical College is a part of the Touro College and University system, based in Valhalla, New York.
Robert Braumuller is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee, the head of the Health Law Practice Group, and a member of the Corporate Law, Intellectual Property and Real Estate Practice Groups. Prior to joining Bleakley Platt, Mr. Braumuller was associated with several national law firms in their Business Law and Health Law practice groups and was Associate Counsel of the Catholic Health Care System.
Zachary Cohen is a member of the Firm’s Health Care, Corporate and Intellectual Property Practice Groups. He advises clients on a host of business, regulatory and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate formation, joint ventures and corporate governance. Mr. Cohen is particularly experienced in representing clients in the information technology and health care industries on cyber security law and HIPAA matters.
