Biography
Ms. Khoury is a member of the Firm’s Health Law and Healthcare Litigation Practice Groups and has extensive experience in medical and psychiatric malpractice cases. She has defended medical professionals in licensing actions brought by the U.S. Department of Health Office of Professional Medical Conduct and the New York State Justice Center. She has also counseled health care professionals regarding compliance with federal and state health care law, including issues related to fraud and abuse, insurance auditing, mandatory reporter requirements, medical record requests, confidentiality issues, boundary violations, investigations, regulatory compliance, and general risk management.
Prior to joining Bleakley, Platt, Ms. Khoury has represented physicians, facilities, and manufacturers of medical devices in malpractice and products liability litigation. She has previously held roles within the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
