Biography
Ms. Wunsch is a member of the Firm’s Health Care, Litigation and Corporate Practice Groups. In addition to serving clients at Bleakley Platt, she also serves as General Counsel at a long-term care company.
Prior to joining Bleakley Platt, Ms. Wunsch was associated with a large national law firm, where she serviced a variety of health care clients, including facilities, health plans and health care start-ups.
She has previously held positions such as general counsel, chief compliance officer, and in operational roles at various government and commercial health plans over the last 15 years, including the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, Nippon Life, UnitedHealthcare, and WellCare.
Prior to her positions in health care organizations, she practiced in the law firm of Day, Berry & Howard (now known as Day Pitney). Early in her career, Paulette held prosecutorial positions and served with distinction in the United States Department of Justice receiving the Barrister Award from the Attorney General. She also served under Mary Jo White in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York, where she was one of the founding members of the health care task force. She was also an associate professor at Fordham University, where she taught in the Political Science Department.
She is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney and health care executive with over 20 years of extensive experience working in the health and managed care industry.
