Ms. Wunsch is a member of the Firm’s Health Care, Litigation and Corporate Practice Groups.
An area of focus for Ms. Wunsch is in assisting large provider groups, Independent Physician Associations, and other clinically integrated networks with contracting with managed care companies on risk arrangements of varying complexity.
As a former health care general counsel and executive, she brings industry and regulatory knowledge, transactional and operational skills along with business acumen to entities engaged in all facets of health care management and delivery. She also acts as outside General Counsel for several clients and assists with all aspects of their business including Board governance work.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Wunsch was associated with a large national law firm, where she serviced a variety of health care clients, including facilities, health plans and health care start-ups.
She previously held positions such as general counsel, chief compliance officer, and operational roles at various government and commercial health plans including the EverCare Choice, Inc., Visiting Nurse Service of New York, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, Nippon Life, UnitedHealthcare, and WellCare.
Early in her career, Paulette held prosecutorial positions and served with distinction in the United States Department of Justice receiving the Barrister Award from the Attorney General. She also served under Mary Jo White in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York, where she was one of the founding members of the health care task force. She was also an associate professor at Fordham University, where she taught in the Political Science Department.
