Partner

Ms. Beck is a member of the Firm’s Litigation, Co-Operative and Condominium, Insurance, Construction and Real Estate Practice Groups. She focuses her trial practice on general liability claims, municipal law matters and commercial disputes. She has successfully handled all phases of litigation in state and federal courts and has demonstrated equal finesse not only in the courtroom but also in arbitrations and mediations. Her clients include individuals; small businesses; public and private corporations; property managers; condominium and co-op boards; and insurance carriers.

The general liability component of her practice involves the defense of high-exposure cases involving negligence, construction accident claims under New York Labor Law, truck/auto accidents and premises liability claims. With respect to commercial litigation, Ms. Beck exhibits the breadth and depth of experience to effectively serve large, well-established enterprises and small, entrepreneurial organizations when commercial disputes arise. She provides innovative legal strategies to co-op boards, property managers and developers, and executes focused litigation plans within limited or expedited time frames and budgets. At the same time, new companies with exposure to intense litigation rely on her to supply critical legal defense and expertise in varying areas of the law. Her clear-headed approach helps clients avoid protracted disputes that can easily distract from running a business successfully.

Ms. Beck previously served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel with the New York City Law Department, Bronx Tort Division, where she tried numerous cases to verdict on behalf of New York City and its agencies, including the Police Department, Board of Education, and Corrections, Transportation and Sanitation departments. This experience proved invaluable in shaping her approach to litigation and her ability to identify the key issues in a case.
