Biography
Mr. Harrington is a member of the Firm’s Managing Committee,
the head
of the Litigation and Toxic Tort/Complex Litigation Practice Groups
and a
member of our Environmental Practice Group. Mr. Harrington has served
as law clerk for the Hon. Charles L. Brieant, U.S.D.J., former Chief
Judge
of the United States District Court for the Southern District of
New York
(1982-1983), and has been Litigation and Environmental Counsel to
the
Town of Pound Ridge, New York since 1988. He served as a member
of
Governor Pataki’s Federal Judicial Screening Committee from
2001 to
2006.
Mr. Harrington is an experienced trial attorney who has represented
Fortune
500 companies in criminal, commercial, environmental, civil rights,
real estate and employment discrimination matters. His clients have
included
major oil companies, pharmaceutical companies and financial institutions
in environmental and complex toxic tort multi-district litigation,
as well as national and significant regional employers in all aspects
of litigation.
Mr. Harrington also represents both municipalities and developers
in all phases of land use development and related litigation.

Memberships and Recognitions
Mr. Harrington is a member of the American and New York State Bar
Associations, and lectures frequently on various litigation and
environmental issues. In addition, he has been a contributing author
to the New York State Bar Association publication, "Environmental
Crimes." In 2007 and 2008, Mr. Harrington was recognized as
a "Super Lawyer" in the New York Metropolitan Area by
a national publication.
