Biography
Mr. Joyce is the co-head of the Firm's Interest Recovery Practice Group and a member of our Corporate and Trusts and Estates Practice Groups. Before joining Bleakley Platt, Mr. Joyce was the Legal Counsel, Vice President and a Director of Joyce Beverages, Inc., a privately held soft drink manufacturer and distributor in seven states and the District of Columbia. He had previously practiced law with the firm of Breed Abbott & Morgan.
Mr. Joyce represents many closely-held businesses and individual
clients in the areas of corporate law and governance, trusts and
estate planning, and tax planning and tax controversies. He is engaged
in transactional work, representing clients before Internal Revenue
Service, creating partnerships and limited liability companies,
advising on general corporate and tax matters and addressing the
transfer of ownership interests through buy-outs, retirement and
estate planning.
Mr. Joyce is a member of the Board of the Alfred Smith Memorial Foundation
and Chair of its Grants Committee (New York), and former Chair of the
Boards of St. Vincent Hospital (New York) and Iona Preparatory School (New
York).
