Biography
Mr. Diaconis is a member of our Insurance and Employment Practice Groups. His more than 25 years of experience has included his tenure as Vice President of Hartford Financial Services Group, and as a member of the firms of Peterson & Ross and Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker in New York City. Mr. Diaconis has served as Law Clerk for the Hon. Joel J. Tyler, U.S.M.J., U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York (1980-81), and as a Councilman for the Town of New Castle (2001-05) for which he also served as Town Prosecutor (2006-2009).
Mr. Diaconis counsels clients in the insurance and reinsurance industry and acts as coverage and defense counsel in the investigation and resolution of fidelity, commercial crime and financial institution bond claims, insurance company errors and omissions, employment, insurance agents and brokers, municipal law, and directors and officers claims. He also serves as an arbitrator and mediator in insurance and reinsurance arbitrations and mediations.
His formal mediation training includes: Harvard Law School, Intensive Mediation Training, Program of Instruction for Lawyers; Westchester Mediation Center, in conjunction with New York State Office of Court Administration; New York Supreme Court, Commercial Division, Appointed To Court-Approved Panel of Mediators and Neutrals.

Memberships
Mr. Diaconis is a member of the American and Westchester County Bar Associations. He was the Co-Chair of the Municipal Law Section of the Westchester County Bar Association, and also served as the Chairperson, Practising Law Institute, Program on Reinsurance Law and Practice (1994-2000).
